Incident and injury free ( IIF )

As part of Wasco’s efforts to ensure the implementation of good HSE practices, we continue to roll out the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) safety culture initiative. The IIF is not so much about numbers as it is a new mind-set about safety. It is a way of thinking that actively seeks to avoid incidents and injuries, making safety a high priority at both the personal and organisational levels. It seeks to create a zero-incident work site through a shared sense of responsibility and caring between the workforce and management.The IIF approach also seeks to dramatically reduce work-related incidents and injuries, while improving productivity and absenteeism. It establishes a culture of mutual concern and respect and provides team members a sense of collective ownership in the production process. These improvements cut lost-time hours and improve working relations for maximum job site efficiency.
